So much has happened in the last year, I could fill a book. I'll start with a summary:
Running a pole/aerial studio has been a roller coaster of emotions. I laughed, I cried, I learned a lot of life lessons. For example, I would NEVER go into business with a partner again. EVER. That was an expensive lesson to learn. Also, you have to be organized! I'm so bad at this. This is my main resolution for 2015. Become organized. And, the stress of running a business makes it difficult to stay healthy. Your sleep suffers, eating habits change (I'm a stress eater), relashonships with friends and family suffer - I hardly see the family I live with any more, nevermind my mom, dad, sisters...
But there have been many positives too. I have met some AMAZING people. I have learned lots of new and fun ways to workout. I am much more confident in myself. I have created a space that I love to be at. That is full of positive energy and motivating people. That other people call "My Happy Place". That is what it's all about.
ChangesMy life is hitting another major transition point. My day job may be going away. Unexpectedly and within the next few weeks. This is incredibly scary but incredibly exciting at the same time. I will finally be able to focus my attention on my business. On being healthy myself and motivating to my clients. I'll have more time to spend with my own family. I'll be able to once again make real, healthy dinners (which the kids will most likely not eat, but still....).
I worry a lot about finances but I'm going to go into this change with a positive attitude. You never know what you are capable of until you take that leap. #fly
